1. Not professional advice

SORA is software for organising a solar business. It is not an engineering consultancy, an electrical contractor, a structural engineer, a chartered accountant, a tax adviser or a law firm, and nothing on this site or in the Service is professional advice.

2. Estimates

Every generation figure, saving, payback period, tariff, subsidy amount, sun-access or shading result, panel count, layout, bill of quantities and price shown is an estimate produced from the inputs given, from stated assumptions and from third-party data such as satellite imagery, weather records, equipment databases and published tariffs. Actual results will differ. Satellite imagery may be years out of date and positions on it are approximate.

A design or diagram produced by the Service is not a construction drawing and does not establish structural adequacy, electrical safety or regulatory compliance. Those must be determined on site by a qualified person.

3. Government schemes and approvals

Subsidy schemes, net-metering rules, tariffs, DCR and ALMM requirements and DISCOM procedures change and vary by state and by consumer. Information about them in the Service may be incomplete or out of date. Eligibility, sanction and disbursement are decided by the relevant authority alone, and we give no assurance about any of them.

4. "Powered by SORA"

A document, email or page that says "Powered by SORA" was produced by a solar company using our software. That company — not Tantra Technologies — is the one you are dealing with: it wrote the document, set the price, designed the system and is responsible for what it says and for doing the work. The line identifies the software and nothing more.

5. Testimonials and examples

Examples, sample documents and figures on this site are illustrative. They are not a promise of any result for your business.

6. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Tantra Technologies accepts no liability for any loss arising from reliance on information on this site or produced by the Service. The Terms of Service govern use of the Service.
